GPRS Routing
GPRS provides highly effective wide area data networking where communications are initiated from the remote node for example, when collecting email using a notebook PC or handheld device.
Unfortunately GPRS networks are not as effective when a communications session needs to be initiated from the centre, for example, in remote control applications.
IDT's GPRS router has been specifically designed for these circumstances by enabling you to extend your centre's local area network as a virtual private network across the GPRS network.
The implementation of IPsec in the GPRS router provides a high level of security. Coupled with hardware designed to operate over an extended temperature range the result is a highly reliable product fit for use in harsh environments.
A typical solution combines the GPRS Router with our VPN Router with a connection to the GPRS network provider over either a leased (private) circuit or the Internet.
