IDT were established in 1987 and were acquired by Telent Technology Services in April 2023.

We design, develop and manufacture data communications and traffic management products for use in Smart City networks.

Our network products provide secure, reliable communications to thousands of roadside assets throughout the UK from Inverness to Torquay and carry a wide range of services including traffic signals, CCTV, air quality monitoring and bus timetables. Our car park occupancy counters collect and share data from over 100 car parks enabling it to be displayed on other manufacturers' roadside variable message signs, websites and smartphone apps.

Telent will continue to develop, maintain and support the IDT range of products.
